Sustainable OSHC was established in 2016 by Jane Ellis with the specific goal of raising the bar on quality OSHC education & care, delivering a sustainable business model that removed the burden of risk and responsibility from the school community while engaging in meaningful collaboration with them, and ultimately providing an alternative to the large corporate providers servicing the sector. Placing the best interests of the children at the heart of the organisation, we are committed to supporting the well-being & development of our children, our families & our team.
Sustainable OSHC strives for best practice in the OSHC Industry and the management team have a demonstrated track record of taking a service from crisis to accredited success.
The management team collectively holds 30 years’ hands-on experience managing OSHC centres & combines university qualifications in Primary School Education, Chartered Accountancy, Business Management, & Diplomas in School Age Education & Care. Staff training and development is a key metric of our organisation & we believe we are only as strong as our weakest team member. A highly skilled, vibrant & engaged team led by strong leaders ensures we deliver a consistently high quality, safe & enriching service.
Sustainable OSHC promotes the values of Community, Charity & Sustainability. Through learning & play we guide our children to value their community & give to those less fortunate; to appreciate & care for their environment; and to reduce their footprint and protect the planet for future generations.
We are committed to leading by example - Refuse, Reduce, Re-use, Re-purpose, Recycle, Donate.
Reverse Advent Calendar
In the lead up to Christmas 2023, Sustainable OSHC participated in a Reverse Advent Calendar. In support of One Meal - Northern Beaches, Sustainable OSHC collected a range of goods to donate to those families doing it tough these holidays.
Our Reverse Advent Calendar went over 24 week days to collect 24 different products. Our families were so supportive of this initiative, encouraging their children to drop the goods under the Koolkuna OSHC Christmas Tree.
