ABOUT US

Sustainable OSHC was established in 2016 by Jane Ellis with the specific goal of raising the bar on quality OSHC education & care, delivering a sustainable business model that removed the burden of risk and responsibility from the school community while engaging in meaningful collaboration with them, and ultimately providing an alternative to the large corporate providers servicing the sector. Placing the best interests of the children at the heart of the organisation, we are committed to supporting the well-being & development of our children, our families & our team.

OUR VISION

Sustainable OSHC promotes the values of Community, Charity & Sustainability.  Through learning & play we guide our children to value their community & give to those less fortunate; to appreciate & care for their environment; and to reduce their footprint and protect the planet for future generations.

Bush to Beach

Throughout Term 2 2024, the children learnt about native plants, decorating pots, planting seeds and caring for a range of native flora to sell at our Bush to Beach Plant Sales.

We were able to raise $2392.00 in our Bush to Beach Plant Sales & Movie Night across the 5 Sustainable OSHC Services. These funds have been donated to Bush to Beach to facilitate an annual trip for children in Brewarrina and surrounding communities to visit Sydney’s Northern Beaches. For some, this is the first beach they have ever been to. The program enables the young people to learn new skills, build confidence and experience an environment totally unlike the one they’ve grown up in.
